Designers Shift!

This was my first talk about gender inclusion and responsible design and I was happy to share my thoughts with a very special audience. Together at the Thoughtworks office in Cologne, we welcomed our partners KISD & Service Design Drinks Cologne for a cozy and highly engaged MeetUp. Two decades ago I was at the other side, arriving in a new continent, starting over, not knowing exactly what the future would bring... That talk was very special to me, I was sharing the knowledge I wish I had before... I was talking to my younger self and to a new generation of designers. It meant the world to me! 🥹 Two decades ago I wouldn't have the confidence to speak up, to talk about systems of oppression, privilege and about our "place of speech" (Lugar de Fala by Djamila Ribeiro) but now I have it, and I will keep doing it! There is no way back. 💪
